Terms of Service

Effective date: pending counsel review

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of the shiponline.app shipping platform. By creating an account you agree to them. This section will be expanded with the legal definitions block before launch.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Accounts are intended for businesses and individuals shipping within supported regions. Counsel will draft the full eligibility + account-closure language here.

3. Use of the service

shiponline.app provides a software interface for purchasing carrier labels at discounted commercial rates. We are not a carrier ourselves. Pricing is disclosed at checkout and includes the carrier rate plus our platform fee.

4. Carrier terms pass-through

Each label you purchase is governed by the underlying carrier's terms (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL). You agree to comply with their prohibited-items lists, packaging requirements, and dimensional rules. Counsel will draft the indemnity pass-through here - important for customs liability per the Phase 8 compliance review.

5. Billing and refunds

Cards on file are charged at the moment a label is purchased. Voided labels are credited to your shipping credit balance. Cash refunds are available on request within 30 days of purchase, subject to carrier policies.

6. Prohibited items and uses

You agree not to ship hazardous, illegal, restricted, or carrier-prohibited items except where explicitly permitted and properly declared. The full restricted-item list is in counsel's queue.

7. Data and confidentiality

We store shipment, recipient, and account data to operate the service as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your shipping history.

8. Limitation of liability

shiponline.app is provided 'as is.' We are not responsible for carrier-side delays, losses, or damages - the carrier's terms govern those. Specific dollar caps and exclusions to be added by counsel.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or carrier requirements. We'll settle any open shipping balance in cash on closure.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; substantive changes will be announced in-app and via email at least 30 days before they take effect.

11. Governing law

Counsel will pick the governing law clause based on the entity domicile selected before launch.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@shiponline.app. Counsel will swap to the final contact channel.
