Standard ground

USPS Ground Advantage · UPS Ground · FedEx Home

$0.99

flat per label

Cheap labels stay cheap. Our flat covers the per-transaction Stripe fee without overcharging the long tail.

Sample · $8.00 carrier rate→ $8.99 customer

Express

USPS Priority Express · UPS 2nd Day Air · FedEx 2 Day

$1.49 - $3.99

10% of carrier, floored / capped

Express rates swing $15 to $50 between zones. Our fee scales with the carrier rate inside a sensible band so we earn fairly on the heavy end without scaring off the cheap end.

Sample · $20.00 carrier rate→ $22.00 customer

Overnight

USPS Priority Express · UPS Next Day · FedEx Priority Overnight

$2.99 - $5.49

10% of carrier, floored / capped

Same shape as Express but with a higher floor + ceiling - overnight is rare-but-expensive, this lets us recover the Stripe-fee drag on the high end.

Sample · $45.00 carrier rate→ $49.50 customer

International

USPS Priority Mail Intl · UPS Worldwide · DHL Express

$2.99 + 3%

flat + carrier-rate %

International rates skew high; the percentage covers the proportionally larger Stripe drag plus the customs/forms work the carrier wraps in.

Sample · $50.00 carrier rate→ $54.49 customer

Pricing questions

What does the platform fee actually pay for?
Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, our infrastructure (Postgres, R2 for label storage, SendGrid for emails, EasyPost carrier integration), and the engineering that keeps it all running. Standard ground is a near break-even tier - it's protected so cheap shippers can use us without subsidising someone else's overnight package.
Are the carrier rates really discounted?
Yes - we pass through commercial-pricing rates negotiated by EasyPost, our carrier aggregator. For USPS that's a 10-50% discount off retail; for UPS / FedEx it's typically 20-40% off retail depending on weight + zone.
What happens to voided labels?
We refund through the carrier and the amount lands in your shipping credit balance - a Postgres column on your account that auto-applies to your next purchase. Cash refunds on explicit support request (account closure, etc.).
Will the price change?
Per-tier fees and the dynamic markup are super-admin tunable but we communicate any change at least 30 days ahead via the email on your account, and we'll never silently raise rates on existing customers within a billing month.
Is there a Pro tier?
Plumbed but not actively sold in v1. Pro halves the per-label flat fee + markup. We're holding off pricing it publicly until the volume data is in.
